Before You Start

Pit the dates if they still have stones and have the tamarind pulp and coconut flakes within reach.

How To Make It
  1. Press a little tamarind pulp into the center of each pitted date.
  2. Roll each date in the coconut flakes so they stick to the outside.
  3. Arrange them on a plate or in a small container.
  4. Serve fresh, or keep them cold until you are ready.
Fix It: If the coconut will not stick, dab the dates with a touch more tamarind, since the sticky surface is what holds the flakes.
