One plate is the amount the calories and protein above are for.

Before You Start

Bring a little water to a simmer for steaming and have the sesame seeds ready.

How To Make It
  1. Steam the edamame over simmering water, 4 to 5 minutes, until bright green and tender enough to pop from the pod.
  2. Tip them into a bowl and sprinkle with the sesame seeds.
  3. Season lightly with a pinch of salt.
  4. Serve warm or cool.
Fix It: If they taste flat, add the salt right after steaming so it sticks while they are still damp.
Microwave
  1. Add the ingredients you would cook together to a microwave safe bowl along with their liquid.
  2. Cover loosely and microwave in one minute bursts, stirring between each, until hot through.
  3. Let it stand for a minute, then finish and plate the dish as written in the steps above.
