Before You Start

Pat the chicken breast dry and season it, cut the broccoli into florets, grate the ginger, and slice the scallions so the bowl comes together fast.

How To Make It
  1. Sear the chicken breast in the sesame oil over medium high heat, 6 to 7 minutes a side, until golden and it reaches 165°F in the center with no pink, then set it aside.
    165°F
  2. Cook the broccoli in the same pan, 3 to 4 minutes, until bright green and just tender.
  3. Add the spinach and cook, 1 to 2 minutes, until it wilts.
  4. Glaze the broccoli and spinach with the tamari and ginger off the heat, then top with the sesame seeds and scallion.
  5. Slice the chicken, spoon it and the vegetables over the brown rice, and serve warm.
Fix It: If the chicken dries out, it cooked past 165°F; pull it right at temperature and let it rest so the juices stay in.
Air Fryer
  1. Heat the air fryer to 380F.
  2. Add the ingredients you would cook on the stove or in the oven in a single layer, without crowding the basket.
  3. Cook for about 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway, until cooked through and lightly crisp.
  4. Let it rest a minute, then finish and plate the dish as written in the steps above.
